Vipers SC completed the first round of the Azam Uganda Premier league on higher note after they beat Simba 3-1 away to close the gap between them and table leaders KCCA FC to two points now.
In a game played in Bombo Vipers SC coach Edward Golola said that at least this will not be a poor beginning going into the break.
“It has been a tough first round especially if we are to go by the last six games in the league. However let us go into the break and we sort ourselves however we think second round of the league will be tougher since we shall also be part of Uganda cup and CAF Champions’ league,” said Golola.
Viper who went in the 15th game of the season 3rd on table with 24 points they have now 27 points on the logo with now 15 games left to climax the league.
KCCA FC table leaders are continuing with a poor run after they settled for a goalless draw with Soana as URA FC won 4-0 against Lweza in a game played in Lugazi. This was the 8th game of URA FC interim coach Kefa Kisala and of all these games is yet to test a defeat.

In other games, BUL FC at home lost to Bright Stars 1-0 as also Sadolin Paints continue to pile pressure on Saints after they defeat them 1-0. In Wankulukuku lone penalty goal from Tony Odur was enough for Express FC to walk away with three points as also SC Villa settled for a goalless draw against Police. Maroon though was the first to score against SC Victoria University, the game eneded 1-1.
The league board is yet to communicate when second round will begin but probably after CHAN championships in February next year.
