Crown Beverages Limited, under its flagship brand, Pepsi, has announced that it has refreshed the Friends of Bebe Cool concert with Shs30 million, making the soft-drink brand the main concert sponsor.
The concert is set for next Friday, August 7, 2015 at the Serena Hotel Victoria Hall, starting 6pm.
Mr Innocent Tibayeita, CBL head, sales & marketing, said sponsoring a big Ugandan name like Bebe Cool falls in line with Pepsi’s brand promise, Live For Now.
“Pepsi is bankrolling Bebe Cool’s “Friends of Bebe Cool Concert” with Shs30 million because it is a perfect fit between Live For Now, a belief shared among all its fans and what Bebe Cool lives for,” Tibayeita said.
“This is not the first time Pepsi is sponsoring any of Bebe Cool’s music initiatives. Pepsi has been at it over the past couple of years and we shall continue supporting and promoting our own talent, in addition to the international ones.
He is a true professional and dedicated musician, attributes Pepsi demonstrates. That explains why he has been able to receive not only local but also global recognition,” he added.
Last year, Pepsi also sponsored Best Of Bebe Cool Concert at Serena Hotel, Tondeka E’Kiwatule, the Eastern African Carnival, among others
Mr Tibayeita said the sponsorship will be in form of cash, advertising and publicity, and refreshments.
Bebe Cool promises to treat his fans to a unique live experience better than last year’s, saying he will, in addition to his old hits, take the fans through his highly acclaimed Go Mama Album that has songs like Go Mama, Love You Everyday, Everywhere I Go, Byebyo, African Girl, among others.
His Love You Everyday song was recently nominated at the prestigious MTV Africa Music Awards (MAMA) in the video of the year category.
A surprise artiste, whom Bebe Cool says is a top artiste from South Africa, will also perform.
