Uganda Cranes’ Captain Geoffrey Massa has crossed over to newly promoted Premier Soccer League side Baroka FC.
Mass who has been with Bloemfontein Celtics for just one season has struggling to find a new club after previous employers Bloemfontein Celtics failed to avail the Cranes forward regular game time.
Baroka Chief Executive Officer Morgan Mamilla revealed that Massa has been handed a one year deal with an option to extend his contract.
“Baroka and Celtic are working together now. (Our relationship) is more of (working) hand in hand when it comes to players. For Massa to come to us there was sort of a brotherhood agreement. He has signed for two years. It’s one plus a one-year option but we are going to exercise the option,” said Morgan.
The CEO added that Massa is a hungry striker who wants goals and his aggressiveness is worth a mention, he is a team player who can help the team survive relegation and impress in its debut season.
Massa is expected to start training with the side on Wednesday officially and that is when he will be unveiled officially also.
Former Police FC striker will partner with former Orlando Pirates striker Siyanda Ngugo who already joined the side.
