Basena Joined Simba After Saints Buyout

Moses Basena was the chief architect of  Simba FC’s relegation survival during the 2014/2015 season but at the season’s end Basena left for URA FC.

However, just after two months, he was sacked from URA. In January this year Basena was appointed Saints FC coach alongside goalkeeping coach Moses Oloya and the pair helped the side survive relegation. Recently Saints FC was acquired by army side Simba Fc who had suffered relegation to FUFA’s Big league.

It should be noted that Moses Basena and Moses Oloya’s six month contracts had expired by the time Simba entered a transaction with Saints FC. This means Moses Basena was a free agent. While Simba prepares for the regional army games, Basena will be their head coach for the that started training from Namboole.

Simba will be travelling next week for the East African military games to be held in Rwanda and Basena who joined Simba with ten former Saints players will have a chance to test his side before the season.

For Moses Oloya is said to be heading to URA FC as one of the goalkeeping coaches after they released Sadiq Wassa who has been there for like four years.
